However, the hack was also criticized for its grimdark story being edgy. This game was praised for its music, gameplay, and use of dark themes and horror elements and was frequently compared to Yume Nikki. He had also previously worked on an Earthbound ROM hack named "Radiation's Halloween Hack" released on October 31st, 2009. Toby Fox, the creator of Undertale, is a music composer who had primarily worked on the soundtrack of the webcomic Homestuck.
